Since 2001, nearly 8,000 teachers have participated in professional development classes at The Endeavour Academy, earning a collective total of more than 65,000 instructional hours. Since 1997, the Teacher Quest program has awarded summer scholarships to nearly 1,500 teachers, helping them enhance their skills in math, science and technology. The Endeavour Academy has provided more than $500,000 in classroom materials to teachers to enrich math, science and technology curriculum in Florida classrooms.	A technically literate student population is crucial to the success of the United States. It results in a stronger, more skilled workforce, fosters competition with foreign nations and boosts contributions to local, state and national economies. The TRDA knows that highly-skilled teachers are the critical link in shaping the minds of students. Therefore, the organization sponsors two STEM (science, technology, engineering and math-based) programs that provide valuable technology training to teachers.
